TELEC certification is a mandatory certification for wireless products in Japan. It is supervised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan and tested and audited by designated agencies (such as JQA, Telec, etc.). Devices that have not passed the certification are not allowed to be sold or used in Japan. TELEC certification is a key compliance threshold for entering the Japanese market.
Japan's mandatory wireless equipment certification follows Japan's "Radio Law", and the specific test specifications follow the MIC Notice No. 88 regulations.
It is regulated by the "Radio Law" and authorized by MIC.
All 2.4GHz/5GHz devices (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules)
Mobile communication terminals (3G/4G/5G devices)
Special radio equipment (RFID/ZigBee, etc.)
RF parameters (frequency/power/bandwidth)
Specific absorption rate (SAR) evaluation
TELEC certification includes test certification and type certification.
• Test certification is to verify each equipment unit, and this certification is only valid for each verified equipment unit;
• Type certification refers to the verification of samples of a batch of equipment with the same design and manufacture.
